Steampunk Soirée
Our Steampunk-style Victorian Ball is returning in September, featuring Chris Kermiet as our esteemed Dance Master - those in the science fiction community may recall that he led a Ball at COSine several years ago. Chris has an extensive background in music and dance and is a recipient of the Heritage Award/Artist Fellowship from the Colorado Council on the Arts. Chris has been calling dances for well over 50 years.
We are very pleased to announce that music will be provided by a live band!
Intermission will feature Tea Dueling led by our highly entertaining Tiffin Masters, with prizes for style, a spectacular splodge, and equally silly reasons.
The wooden dance floor of the Clements Center is one of the best in Denver for Victorian Balls, and we are happy to have secured this great site. Punch will be provided. Please bring treats for the Refreshments Table - cookies, brownies, mini-cupcakes, fruit, etc. Well have a Steampunk photo backdrop for recording the elegance and spunk of your Ballroom Dress.
